Abstract

The urgency of David Kldiashvili’s work comes to life in our reality with a new perspective. One such problem is presented in the story “Michela”. The artistically described tragic story was not only the subject of the story, but, as we guess from the press of that time, it was a universal event in that era. At the time of the epidemic as a human catastrophe, the traits of human nature that are normally hidden in the ordinary situation often appear.
The character of David Kldiashvili’s story – Michela, is indistinguishable human from the others, but when his family was almost completely destroyed by an epidemic, this honest man faced existential hardship, showing unforgivable indifference to his mortally doomed grandson. Davit Kldiashvili’s story depicts such a spiritual transformation of a person in a hopeless situation, which will always be the subject of artistic reflection.
