Abstract
Grigol Robakidze‘snovel was written in 1926 and published in Tbilisi in Georgian, but since the early 30s ofthe 20th century his name has been banned in Georgia due to his emigration. A world-classwriter, recognized in Europe as one of the largest writers, entered the Georgian literary process during the period of perestroika. Russian Russian translation of the novel“ Snakeshirt „by Camilla Corintheli and published in“ Literary Georgia „ in 1991 became a significant phenomenon in Georgian and Russian culture, because the thinker of the world scale at the same time remained a true Georgian in attitude,which for the Georgian people in the period of national self-determination was extremely important. The main idea of th enovel „Snakeshirt“: the relationship of the individual with the world is due, on the one hand, the divine principle, and on the other, are determined largely by national roots, ethnicity. Being a Georgian and an expression of his national spirit , Robakidze was at the same time a citizen of the universe, wrote in three languages (Georgian, Russianand German) and embodied in his work the unity of the European worldview and national identity.
