Abstract
Recently, the study of literary processes of the 90ies of the 20th century has become more actual. (I. Ratiani, M. Kvatchantradze, B. Tsipuria, M. Miresashvili, N. Gaprindashvili, A. Nemsadze, N. Kutsia, M. Turtava, G. Khorbaladze ...). The researchers agree that the events developed in Georgia have changed the routine of literary process, which led to the development of not only thematic but also genre characteristics. It is noteworthy that despite the affluence of materials and the sensitivity of research topics, this issue has also become the subject of the Georgian literary criticism. At this stage it is interesting to determine how the radical epochal changes have impacted the Georgian cultural process, how the image of IDP’s (Refugee) was depicted in the Georgian literature and what is the literary representation of these issues.
Based on the studied materials (Z. Metreveli, G. Sosiashvili Sh. Darbuashvili, V. Chkhikvadze, M. Chitishvili, M. Khetaguri, L. Chigladze) it is becoming clear that the events having taken place in Georgia gave grounds to the establishment of the IDP (refugee) paradigm in the fiction texts and it is also evident that the 90ies crisis (The Georgian-Ossetian conflict, the Georgian-Abkhazian conflict, the civil war) was almost fully reflected in the Georgian fiction texts.
