Abstract

By the resolution of April 23, 1932 the artistic vector of the Soviet state had to be developed by a new method – socialist realism. It was obvious that an ideological dictatorship was being established in art. Soon, all fields of art were adapted to new requirements, although this artificial process did not prove to be long-lasting in Georgian reality.

In 1957 the magazine Tsiskari began to be published. In the renewed Tsiskari, the assessment of fiction texts starts from a completely different, new position (Guram Asatiani, Revaz Tvaradze, Tamaz Chkhenkeli, Otia Pachkoria, Akaki Bakradze, Tamaz Chiladze, Koba Imedashvili...).
