One “Traveling Copy” by Geronti Kikodze’s Book

Abstract

This report deals with the book maintained at the personal library of emigrant writer, Ilia Kuchu­khidze, in particular, “The National Energy” by Geronti Kikodze. The book contains the notes of young people living in 20s of the 20^th century, many of which deserve particular attention, as they reveal worl­dview of these young people.

“The National Energy” was unacceptable for the USSR in 20s (it was regarded as a nationalist work). We can see one of the examples of how this banned book travelled between young people of that period and this shows one of the small but interesting episodes of the history of 20s.
