The fairy tale, as a genre, holds a significant position in the folklore of all nations. The striking similarity is evident not only in the types but also in the narratives, underscoring its universality.

After analyzing fairy tales, it was found that they make up approximately 9% of the entire folklore repertoire. When looking at the subgenres, the percentage breakdown is as follows: animal tales account for 6%, magical tales for 59%, religious tales for 3%, novelistic tales for 17%, and anecdotes for 15%. The data analysis highlights that magical tales are the most popular within the Georgian folklore repertoire.
