Аннотация

Gender or social sex, is most effectively reflected in folklore (folk dances, songs and poems). Presented report discusses the gender stereotypes given in Georgian oral folklore. Gender clichés are mainly observed in the moral and economic type of writings. Patterns recognized and accepted in woman and man, wife and husband, daughter-in-law and mother-in-law end etc.

Subjection of a woman and a man to social behavior norms, defined by gender, reflected in verbal folklore are expressed by categorical imperative – must be, but at times it is replaced by more loyal – it would be better.
