Georgian literary process of the 21st century shows that along with modern challenges, Georgian literature is actively incorporated in re-determining and re-identifying national time and space. Many fictional texts are created to evaluate and overcome the national past and traumas and simultaneously recall forgotten pasts and narratives to redefine and recreate modern national narratives. This paper aims to discuss one such strategy- the concept of heterotemporality by analyzing the novel “A Lizard on the Grave Stone" (2021) by Archil Kikodze. We analyze how the writer envisions the national culture's perspective and place in global space.
